Like Mr. Burns: Scientists want to block the Sun to “cool” the Earth

Land of the Hammocks.- A group of scientists is considering the option of blocking the Sun to cool the Earth, and we've already seen this on The Simpsons .
As part of a new (and controversial) plan to address climate change, scientists are proposing “deflecting,” or reflecting, sunlight back into space to prevent it from further warming our planet.

The technique, known as “solar geoengineering” or “solar radiation management,” aims to prevent solar rays from reaching the Earth directly, causing global warming.
Another idea these scientists have proposed is to inject reflective aerosols into the stratosphere, thus creating a kind of "artificial solar shield" that would mimic the cooling effect produced by large volcanic eruptions.
Well, it's a loss that they cover the sun on the beach. So far, both theories are merely proposals that have not been approved, and although they were already presented by a group of Swiss experts to the UN, they have not been considered precisely because they have not been proven.

For its part, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is working on a geoengineering program to effectively deflect the sun's rays, arguing: "If climate change has already gone too far, what might our emergency solutions be? Geoengineering may be our last option."
Similarly, there is already talk of placing giant mirrors in space with the goal of reducing global temperatures, although, like the other proposals, this has not been definitively proven.
They can say what they want, but any proposal of this type is based on what we saw in that episode of The Simpsons , when Montgomery Burns tries to block out the Sun... and they're not going to get us out of there!
